Sweet with a smooth mouthfeel, winey fruit acidity, blueberry, cranberry and soft rose flavors.
This is a beautiful natural processed Guatemalan coffee grown in the Santa Rosa Region around Lake Ayarza. Packed full of fruity notes with a distinct winey fruit acidity. We recommend this coffee for v60, aeropress and cafetiere. When brewed for filter it brings out all sorts of magical flavours including blueberry and some light florals. For the light roast espresso fans this is equally a very complex espresso.
While coffee came to Guatemala in the late 18th century, as with much of the Central and South American colonies, cultivation of the crop began to gain steam in the 1860s, with the arrival of European immigrants who were encouraged by the Guatemalan government to establish plantations.
Despite its relatively small size, Guatemala’s coffee-producing regions have distinct regional profiles that are influenced primarily by varieties and microclimate. Our supplier Café Imports primarily works in four of the main growing regions.
